Indonesia

This nation of more than 17,000 islands, which straddles the equator between mainland Southeast Asia and Australia, is home to some of the most fascinating cultures and beautiful coral reefs we’ve ever encountered. In 2014, we immersed ourselves in the natural beauty, intricate rituals, and wonderful food of Bali. In 2016, we experienced marine life and traditional cultures in Sulawesi. And in 2024, we had an amazing time living in huts and exploring the waters of Raja Ampat, a remote group of islands near Papua New Guinea with some of the most vibrant coral reefs left on Earth.
