Jemeluk

After the silent retreat, it was time for some snorkeling, so we headed to Bali’s eastern coast. Just down the road from the tourist town of Amed is a fishing village called Jemeluk, whose small harbor offers some of the best off-the-beach snorkeling we’ve ever seen. The town is starting to attract tourists, especially divers, but it’s not yet overrun.
