This large central European nation of 38 million people is a strongly Catholic country with a rich history and a high standard of living. We traveled to western Poland for an international Urban Sketchers conference and were charmed by the vibrant, playful, and picturesque cities we visited.

Finding out that pierogi (Polish stuffed dumplings) are much more diverse in Poland than the ones we’ve had in the United States, ranging from sweet (blueberries and cream cheese) to savory (roasted duck with apples)
Did You Know?
Polish is one of the hardest languages for English-speakers to learn. The Polish alphabet has 32 letters, including 9 that don’t appear in English, and many Polish words contain large clusters of consonants.
