Sicily – Favignana
April 2016Favignana is a rugged, windswept island off the northwest coast of Sicily that is blessed with blue waters and small sandy beaches. Once a center for tuna fishing and stone quarrying, it's now mainly a tourist destination, most popular with Italians. It made a relaxing break for us after the hot weather and sightseeing in Palermo. We spent our time swimming, biking around the island, exploring the local shops and restaurants, eating lots of seafood, and just taking it easy.
