One of the oldest cities in Sicily, Enna sits high atop a crag in almost the exact center of the island. Its strategic position means that Enna was fought over by warring armies for more than 2,000 years. Today it’s a densely populated but quiet city and a good base for visiting the nearby Villa Romana del Casale. Enjoy these sunny pictures of Enna because a few hours after we got there, clouds settled on the hilltop and we spent the rest of our stay in a gray, viewless mist.
