Our second snorkeling destination in Bali (after Jemeluk on the east coast) was the town of Pemuteran on the far northwestern coast. It's a place where mountains come almost to the sea. It's also near the strait that separates Bali from Java, and you can see the volcanoes of eastern Java in the distance. Alas, no pics of the amazing underwater life--and that was the best part!
